There is no way I could have successfully had a VBAC in the hospital without her love and support. There are a handful of things that come to mind when I think back on the day my son was born. Jenni made sure my husband was a huge part in helping support me through each contraction. I had severe back labor and she provided so much great counter pressure even after hours and hours of laboring. Jenni helped me create a positive birth plan that told the nurses what my preferences were rather than telling them what not to do. Lastly, she did such an amazing job at reminding me of my wishes when she politely would help me answer the nurses questions. “Jenni helped educate me on the differences between a home and hospital birth. After many questions and answers I felt that I had a good understanding between the two. I chose to go home birth. In the beginning I still had many questions and reservations, but Jenni was always ready, willing and available to not only hold a place for understanding my nerves but for bringing facts and clarity to me no matter how often I needed it. I felt supported and safe every step of the way.

One thing I couldn't shake was how much I did not want to end up in a hospital, for my own personal reasons, but towards the end of the pregnancy when I knew a hospital transfer could happen I no longer was afraid.
